The fundamental goal of Çare Derneği's project to open information technology classrooms in orphanages in Africa and South Asia is to nurture orphans in our orphanages as individuals who are in line with the requirements of the information age, possess strong social skills, have knowledge of access to information, can use advanced technology products, and have the ability to think scientifically.

Utilizing Idle Computers for Education

As known, information technologies are both expensive and in a constantly evolving world. Keeping up with the pace of renewals and updates is also quite challenging. Taking all of this into consideration, we plan to thoroughly follow technology and utilize its beneficial aspects for our personal development.

Turkiye is among the countries that quickly adopt and consume technology in the field of informatics. For this reason, we want to refurbish and make idle laptops donated by individuals and institutions usable for orphans.

Therefore, we cannot accept it. However, if freezes or such problems occur occasionally and not every time you use the laptop, you can send it to us.

My laptop's screen is broken, missing, or has minor scratches, can I still donate it?

If the laptop screen is completely missing or completely broken, we cannot accept it as replacing it would be too costly. However, if there is a line or a small blemish on the screen that does not hinder usage, you can still send it to us. Laptop screens are generally difficult and expensive to find.

My laptop's charging adapter is faulty, can I still donate it?

Certainly, you can donate it. By obtaining a suitable charging adapter, we can prepare it for use in our orphanage.

Some keys on my laptop's keyboard are not working, can I still donate it?
