Support Our Afghan Orphanage and Orphans Residing There

We Are Taking Care of Afghan Orphans!

For years, we have been involved in humanitarian activities in Mezar-ı Şerif, Afghanistan. Now, we have rented a two-story building in the region, which, after renovation, will hopefully become the new home for Afghan orphaned siblings.

We plan to accommodate approximately 50 orphans in the orphanage initially. Here, our orphans will receive Islamic education, including memorization of the Quran and basic religious knowledge. At the same time, they will continue their regular education at state schools.

Why Afghanistan?

The takeover of the country's governance by the Taliban and the withdrawal of NATO disrupted the country's economy. During this period, many businesses remained closed, and international aid to post-Taliban Afghanistan was cut off. Reserves held abroad were frozen.

According to the information we have obtained, there are a total of 68 orphanages in the country, both government-run and private. However, 26 of them have effectively closed due to the severe economic crisis that the country has entered since the Taliban took over. Meanwhile, thousands of children were sent to live with relatives or close acquaintances. The remaining open orphanages often experience power outages and have difficulty providing clean drinking water. The living quarters and dining areas in these orphanages pose significant hygiene issues. Since taking control of the country, the Taliban have made visits and promised support to address these issues, but so far, no concrete solutions have been offered.

As Çare Derneği, we have rented a two-story building in the region to provide for the orphans' basic needs and support their religious education.

Preparing Our Orphanage for Orphans!

The building we have rented in Mezar-ı Şerif is not yet suitable for an orphanage. During this period, our priority is to complete the renovation of the building. Following that, we will furnish the building and open our doors to the orphans.

With the support of our valued donors, the renovations and furnishings we have planned for our orphanage are summarized as follows:

• Renewal of water and electrical installations,
• Landscaping the garden,
• Installation of a heating system (central heating),
• Complete exterior painting,
• Preparing a kitchen area in the garden,
• Completion of the necessary furniture, kitchenware, and other furnishings for the orphanage.
• After these renovations and improvements, we will be ready to say "Salamalaikum" to the orphans.

What Can You Do?

You can support us in the renovation and furnishing of the orphanage that we have started. Donations of any amount you wish to make will be used for the rent and other expenses of the orphanage.
