Inspired by Ottoman architecture, our “Life to a Village Project” in the Yumbe region of Uganda continues to impact the lives of the local community. Starting with water wells and fountains, this project has made significant progress, with the mosque walls now rising and the fountain construction nearly complete. The minaret is also in its final stage and is expected to be opened for the service of the local people very soon.
Easier Access to Clean Water
In the project’s first phase, we drilled deep water wells to provide the people of Yumbe with clean and consistent water. We built water tanks and fountains in a style inspired by Ottoman architecture. With the fountain now close to completion, these structures will allow locals to perform their ablutions easily and access clean water.
Approaching the Completion of Our Mosque
The next major step in the project, the construction of the mosque, is progressing rapidly. The walls are almost finished, and the ceiling work will start next. This mosque will serve as a place of worship for the community and be used for Quranic education. It will also strengthen social unity and spiritual bonds among the people.
