Recently, we met with our Gazan university students, who are currently studying as guests in Kütahya. The genocide that Israel has been carrying out in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has deepened the suffering of our brothers and sisters. As Çare Association, we showed our students that they are not alone in this challenging time, listened to the difficulties they face in their education and daily lives, and expressed our support.
Following the meeting in Kütahya, through our Gaza office, we reached the families of some of our students. These families continue their dignified resistance without abandoning their lands, even amidst the genocide and oppression. By visiting the homes of these families, who are struggling to survive in the heart of Gaza's deep wounds, we once again reminded them that they are not alone.
These visits were not just about delivering aid. Being with our brothers and sisters during their most difficult times is a requirement of the ummah’s consciousness and the bonds of brotherhood. As we conveyed the messages sent by our students in Türkiye to their families, we also brought back their greetings and prayers to their children in Türkiye. In that moment, we deeply felt the strength of the bond of brotherhood, alongside our material support.
This work in Gaza is not just a charity activity; it is a manifestation of the solidarity of the ummah, cooperation, and the bonds of brotherhood. While reminding our brothers and sisters that they are not alone, we are all confronting our own consciences. Everyone is responsible for what they can do and what they fail to do. Humanity must take action during such difficult times and not remain silent in the face of oppression.
We, both individually and institutionally, continue these efforts by upholding the fundamental values of Islamic civilization and the moral principles of the Qur'an. These values extend beyond mere aid; they include being present for our brothers and sisters during their hardest moments, maintaining the consciousness of the ummah, and sharing in their pain. These visits to Gaza remind us of humanity's most basic responsibility: to reduce suffering by sharing it and to strengthen solidarity.
At Çare Association, we continue our aid efforts in Gaza without interruption. Our soup kitchen, which we opened at the beginning of 2024 in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, serves hot meals to hundreds of families daily. This soup kitchen also reaches the most vulnerable families in nearby neighborhoods, meeting their basic food needs. We are working with all our strength to support our brothers and sisters in Gaza during these difficult times.
There are things we can all do to support our brothers and sisters in Gaza. We can sever our ties with institutions that fund and support Israel and boycott their products. By choosing alternative local products, we can contribute to this resistance.
At Çare Association, we deliver hot meals to hundreds of people in Gaza every day. By contributing with your donations, you can support these efforts and bring hope to the people of Palestine. Your donations through our Gaza Emergency Aid campaign will bring hope to our brothers and sisters and help heal their wounds.
